PESCARA – “There are three buildings in via Carlo Alberto Dalla Chiesa undergoing redevelopment which could be included within the Energy Community established by the municipal subsidiary Pescara Energia, which plays the role of leader. This provision is made possible by the ongoing works, which include, among other things, the installation of 516 photovoltaic panels on the roofs, the replacement of the boilers and the re-insulation for the energy efficiency of the buildings, eliminating heat dispersion phenomena. , with an investment of approximately 2 million 250 thousand euros, funds from the National Rebirth and Resilience Plan. Works that will result in immediate savings on bills for citizens and in a possible reimbursement for each family for the energy produced within the Community. After today’s first summit we gave a mandate to the offices and Pescara Energia to verify this possibility for what could become the first pilot project”.

This was announced by the councilor for housing policy Isabella Del Trecco at the end of the summit with the manager Marco Polcethe company responsible for the energy efficiency of the buildings and the technical management of Pescara Energia.

“The works contracted by the Municipality – said councilor Del Trecco going into detail – are affecting 3 of the five buildings in the northern sector, for a total of 108 apartments, with insulation works on the portico and attic to limit possible infiltrations. The project has the primary objective of making the properties as self-sufficient as possible from an energy point of view, both through self-production of electricity and through the use of a hybrid winter air conditioning system that reduces gas consumption to a minimum and is based mainly on the consumption of self-produced energy. The ongoing interventions include the removal of the concrete roof tiles and waterproofing with a double reinforced sheath; insulation with plasterboard placed on the last floor, in the accessible attic; the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roof, 172 for each building, for 70.52 kilowatts per building, for a total of 211.56 kilowatts, with installations of all the associated components for the correct and complete functioning of the system; insulation to protect the attic of the first deck and improve its thermal performance; the removal of boilers and radiators and the installation of new compact hybrid systems and new aluminum radiators”.

“This intervention, which could be completed before the summer, including testing, could allow the three buildings, which correspond to house numbers 25, 27, 29, 31, 33 and 35, to enter the Energy Community headed by Pescara Energia. The offices will now have the task of verifying the feasibility of this operation, i.e. the entry of the works on the buildings in via Carlo Alberto dalla Chiesa into the Energy Community, which would translate into concrete and immediate savings for user families in terms of energy saving , reduction of heat and energy losses, and therefore lighter bills. But at the same time, entry into the Community would also mean a further reduction in condominium expenses, again in terms of energy, and further annual savings for each family in relation to condominium expenses. An operation which – added councilor Del Trecco – we consider in fact a sort of pilot project to also be included in future redevelopment projects on other structures of our municipal housing stock”.
