LATINA – Giorgio Parisi will be in Latina for the Lievito 2024 review. The cultural event, after a five-year interruption, which began with Covid, is resurrected and returns with a brilliant program, many names and the closing entrusted to the Nobel Prize scheduled at the Teatro D ‘Annunzio.
“It’s the ninth edition, but we like to think of it as a new beginning,” say the organizers gathered under the newly formed Lievito association. A return that has gathered much support and many sponsors to offer free events with music, literature, theatre, art, science and a kids section, dedicated entirely to girls and boys.
The program and the most important news of this edition were illustrated to the press this morning in the GeenaBeer& Comfort Food premises. Over thirty events, film screenings, meetings with authors and tastings; a scientific section with thematic conferences, workshops and creative activities dedicated to the little ones. All events will be free.
The cultural association “Lievito” is chaired by Melia Mangano, the artistic direction is always by Renato Chiocca. «Lievito returns to Latina with a new association and a new organization» underlines Mangano. «It’s a great restart, born under the pressure of the city. An input that came from many citizens, volunteers, associations, entrepreneurs and private partners who made themselves available and personally committed to restarting the cultural event. Faced with this mobilization we could only respond positively.” «We start again from where we left off, – Chiocca echoes her – once again Lievito gives us the opportunity to live in our city the experiences of those who have left Latina and of those who come to Latina for the first time, with the same desire to share.”
The organizing committee thanks the sponsors, without whom Lievito would not have been possible again, the Guardia di Finanza and the provincial commander Giovanni Marchetti for the hospitality at Palazzo M, the Municipality and the Province of Latina for their patronage. «Lievito has always been financed by private individuals. This year, new ones have been added to the usual partners. It is precisely their generous support that allows free entry to all scheduled events. Yeast is this: a free exhibition, born from the collective commitment of those who believe in culture as a tool for participation, inclusion and growth”.
The event will be opened as per tradition by a traveling concert from Palazzo M in the streets of the center on April 25th with Nicola Tariello & the hot sugar marching band. Among the names in the program are the theatrical show the twenty-second woman by and with Angela Iantosca, the journalist Riccardo Cucchi with “Unaltro calcio è possibili”, Burqua Queen on Afghan women with Barbara Schiavulli and Sigfrido Ranucci who will present his book La Scelta solo per mention some of the 30 appointments.
