An unprecedented event, the one organized by the international association Plastic Free Onlus, on the occasion of Earth Day. On April 20th and 21st Plastic Free volunteers will move in 300 Italian cities e 6 cities abroad for a maxi environmental cleaning and awareness event. From Trentino Alto Adige to Sicily, from India to Senegal, in 250 thousand they will mobilize at the same time to remove plastic and other waste from the environment abandoned on beaches, along river banks, in parks and public areas.

Reggio Calabria also responds “present” to the appeal, with a cleaning event on the Gallico beach scheduled for this Sunday, April 21st. The Reggio volunteers will meet at 09:30 on the Gallico seafrontin front of the Papirus, for the clean up organized by the Reggio representatives of Plastic Free, Serena Pensabene, Ludovica Monteleone and Giovanni Mannuzza, together with the associations AncorArte, Amici Di Villa San Giuseppe, Quadrifoglio and Car Design Sport.

For this important event, the association received the support of Ilaria Speranza, with Fede Reggina, who chose to join the Plastic Free cause and support the
realization of the event with your own donation. A team effort that makes you feel a strong love for Reggio and a sense of belonging to the territory.

The Plastic Free Onlus initiative, which will take place simultaneously throughout the national territory, has the support of media partner Treedom, an innovative company that plants trees in environmental and social improvement projects. For the occasion, Treedom has imagined a special tree: the Turtle Tree, a White Mangrove. Until April 22nd, through the treedom.net platform, it will be possible to plant this special tree and part of the proceeds from sales will be donated to Plastic Free Onlus, with the aim of protecting and saving the many sea turtles that die every year due to plastic waste that has invaded our seas.
