Editorial – Merciless numbers for Maremma youth football at regional level – Grosseto Sport

Grosseto – If there is one thing in football that goes beyond opinions and points of view, that thing is certainly represented by the numbers that certify the involution of Maremma youth football at a regional level.
Unfortunately, in the junior category there is the relegation of two teams: Sant’Andrea and Atletico Maremma. A good season instead for Invictasauro who will be joined next year by just one Maremma team coming from the provincial championships. Budget: -1

Things were better in the Allievi with Grosseto trailing leaders Venturina at -4, while Invictasauro and Follonica Gavorrano performed well. With a team (Nuova or Roselle) moving up from the provincials the balance will be +1.

The situation in the very young regional teams is tragic where only Us Grosseto survives in fourth place in the rankings with one matchday left in the championship, while Invictasauro, Roselle and Follonica Gavorrano are relegated.
On the other hand, Atletico Maremma goes up with a result that says – 2.

Merciless numbers for our football which has no team that takes part in the elite championships and which is unable to develop players of important caliber and all this must make all the managements of the Maremma teams reflect.
There is a need to invest starting from the youngest in football schools and the first kicks and chicks and do it with trained coaches who know how to teach football and the fundamentals of this splendid sport.
