Kevin is already a promise ~ CrotoneOk.it

Crotone – The evolution of Tennis in Italy in recent years is even more dynamic than before thanks to the successes of Jannik Sinner, is particularly evident also in Calabria where the largest sports clubs (especially in Reggio and Cosenza) which are increasingly at the forefront in terms of equipment and personnel, are able to impart, in particular to young tennis players, the right preparation necessary to deal in the best possible way all the challenges that every sport entails if practiced at a competitive level. Even in Crotone for just over 4 years there has been a beautiful sporting reality, which every day thanks to commitment and professionalism as well as the beautiful existing structure is trying to train small and competitive champions in the world of competitive tennis.

Now it is Crotone Sporting club it has become a beautiful reality for the young people of Crotone thanks to the intuition and foresight of its President Salvatore Scalise he has seen his club grow exponentially from year to year and today has more than 100 young members.
Among these, the very young tennis player stands out Kevin Sarpi (class of 2014), under 10 category, which was immediately paid attention to by FITP and in particular by maestro Raffaele La Scala, a true living monument of Calabrian tennis. After a series of rallies held in Lamezia Terme where the best athletes from the provinces of Catanzaro, Crotone and Vibo Valentia gathered, Kevin was selected to be part of the team that participated in the Provincial Cup at the Chiappetta sports club in Cosenza. The Provincial Cup is a sporting competition which sees three Calabrian teams competing, like the Davis Cup, representing the province of Cosenza, that of Reggio and the central Calabria area (Crotone, Catanzaro and Vibo).

Kevin, at just nine years old, was the first Crotone native to participate in this now historic competition, now in its nineteenth edition. Growing up on the tennis courts of Praialonga, where he took his first steps, he inherited his passion for tennis from his mother Francesca. On April 20th and 21st the three “representatives” competed with balls and Kevin performed well, keeping the name of the city of Crotone high. Unfortunately the representative of the central Calabria area was penalized as they had one player less.
