Forza Italia is not doing well in Marsala

At the city council meeting yesterday in Marsala, the brawl was supported by Forza Italia, which was split in two inside and outside the Chamber.

The first to pose a problem of a political nature is Rosanna Genna who asks councilor Salvatore Agate if he is a councilor with a share in some party or if he only represents the mayor.

The councilor Agate showed his Forza Italia card, he said he was the Honourable’s reference Stefano Pellegrino, there was no shortage of response from Elia Martinico, current group leader. Formally there are two in the group: Enzo Sturiano and Elia Martinico, the group with the other councilors has not yet been formed in the council, there is only membership through photos, there are some membership cards but no group.

Martinico reiterated that there is a provincial coordinator who is Toni Scilla, the fight was served. It was a party clash that took place within the institutional chamber, and it was neither Sturiano nor Martinico that emerged in tatters but all of Forza Italia. Sturiano reiterated to Martinico: “That you have a leader in the person of the Honorable Toni Scilla, yes, I am fine with it. I remind you that there is still a city coordinator (Tommaso Putaggio) who still has a role and a function. Like it or not, he is the coordinator, there is an established group, so everything does not revolve around the provincial coordinator, who was not democratically elected but self-proclaimed”.

The rift is entirely internal to the party, there are two factions and two areas. One should be headed by Enzo Sturiano and the other by Stefano Pellegrino, in this chaos what is missing is politics. Issues that should be addressed at the regional table and, instead, are addressed in the city council, what happens dismembers the Azzurri. All the feared unity that is professed is not there.
But the real point is touched by Pino Ferrantelli: “The Administration is still incomplete”, actually three councilors are still missing today, Giacomo Tumbarello has taken the position of vice mayor but there are three appointments to be made and he hesitates to do so, on the one hand parties that are unable to create a synthesis.

The failure was then repeated in the councilor’s chamber Ivan Gerardi he discovers another side, he doesn’t give answers to the councilors but above all he doesn’t give answers to the city.

Ferrantelli also says about the internal diatribe within the Azzurri: “You are from FI and no one disowns it but you are outside this civic assembly, because in here you are the president of the council and represents everyone, guarantor of everyone. So it is not acceptable for these conversations to happen in here.”
Flavio Coppola also made a sharp statement: “I don’t care much about FI but you must know that parties are based on ideas, principles and values, by now all parties have almost lost their credibility. The same goes for Forza Italia too, one joins a party for a belief, aspirations and opportunities are legitimate if based on values otherwise it is just opportunism. The intervention of colleagues Genna and Ferrantelli has a logic: within the Chamber we must have clarity, but we don’t know how the groups are composed”.

Then he adds: “We are in a phase of uncertainty, we are looking for a location but there is a fact: there is a mayor who has the obligation to give a government to the city.” Councilor Coppola examines the last regional vote: “I remember that the Honorable Pellegrino was elected by only 170 votes more, imagine if he had not been elected today what there would have been “Forza la Speranza”, other than Forza Italia . Today, however, we can no longer babble, the mayor must govern the city or he will resign.”

A very unfortunate event occurred when councilor Ivan Gerardi left the chamber while councilor Pino Ferrantelli was making a communication addressed to him: “A courtesy was shown towards the entire municipal council by councilor Gerardi, who cannot avoid the question. I ask for the councilor’s resignation, at this moment we are asking for an intervention in the interest of the city and he mocks the entire Chamber. I am stunned, these are not jokes. They are shameful.”
