CIVITANOVA MARCHE – About forty pupils from the fifth classes of the Silvio Zavatti primary school together with the teachers visited the Civitanova carabinieri barracks, headquarters of the local Company, this morning. The meeting, which falls within the scope of the contributions and initiatives organised for the diffusion of the culture of legalityallowed the children to learn more about the organization and structure of the Carabinieri, as well as the daily activities carried out by the Station and the patrols in service in the area, observing the cars and materials supplied in the emergency services and analyzing in a simple and clear way some types of legal and illegal conduct.
The students were also able to learn about the tasks of the Operations Centercoordination center of the patrols engaged daily in the area to guarantee safety and proximity to citizens who, through the single emergency number 112, are able to have immediate feedback on any type of request for help.
In addition to having had the opportunity to turn on the sirens and turn on the flashing lights of the Alfa Giulia and the motorbike supplied with the Aliquota Radiomobile, as in real emergency situations, the children witnessed an exercise by the soldiers of the Pesaro dog unit which, with the German shepherd Bob, aroused maximum interest in the young spectators.
The meeting received considerable interest from the young people who did not hesitate to ask many questions to the staff who guided them on the visit, confirming itself as an important moment of formation of the culture of legality through knowledge of the functions and tasks entrusted to the Carabinieri in the daily service in favor of the citizen.
The initiative is part of a broader calendar of events which sees the Carabinieri and the Civitanova Company Command led by Captain Angelo Chiantese operate close to the younger generations with the aim of increasing their civic sense and trust towards institutions.
