The municipal administration has arranged for the opening of the “Giuseppe De Nittis” art gallery/Palazzo Della Marra for Labor Day, with the new continuous opening hours from 10am to 8pm (ticket offices closing at 7.15pm) which will remain until next 30th September. of the Castle, home to the Civic Museum and the Lapidarium.

At Palazzo Della Marra, the temporary exhibition “Toulouse – Lautrec: the other reality in late nineteenth-century Paris” can be visited, curated by prof. Renato Miracco, in which 32 works by Toulouse-Lautrec and one by Paul Gauguin are exhibited, owned by the Gallery of Modern Art in Milan. The exhibition is enriched by three works by Giuseppe De Nittis from a private collection, exhibited for the first time at Palazzo Della Marra.

In the Castle, however, you can visit the Civic Museum with the Antica, 19th century and Cafiero galleries and the exhibition “The Civic Museum of Barletta: a century of stories”, curated by Francesco Picca. In the Lapidarium there are sculptural testimonies from the late antique period to the eighteenth century.
