For the project “Se.Po.Pass. – Paths, Bridges and Walkways for the right to growth and study”, a meeting was held at Palazzo San Giorgio to discuss social reporting and comparison of new perspectives.

Se.Po.Pass. “, in particular it concerns the bridging two-year period, new and alternative to that of high school, not aimed at returning to school, but at the subjectification of the individual. In Reggio the social cooperatives Res Omnia, La Casa di Myriam, La Casa del sole, Agape community center and CPIA schools worked. An activity aimed at boys and girls, especially from the Arghillà neighbourhood, with very weak basic school education and limited social capital. The Municipality of Reggio Calabria collaborated for the success of the project.

At the event in the Sala dei Chandelier Italo Falcomatà there were, among others, Nadia Denisi, President of Res Omnia Cooperativa Sociale, Monica Tripodi, Head of Design of Res Omnia who moderated; Giovanni Laino, National Manager of Se.Po.Pass, Serafino Celano, ARS Evaluator, Cristina Ciccone, RC Partnership Coordinator, Maria Grazia Marcianò Manager of Families and Minors Territorial Social Services Municipality of Reggio Calabria, Carmela Nucera, Manager of Social Polo 1, Territorial Social Services Municipality of Reggio Calabria and, for the municipal administration, the Welfare councilor Lucia Anita Nucera spoke.

«We are very happy to host this reporting for Res Omnia of this project started in collaboration with Naples And Messina – highlighted councilor Nucera – and which concerns some realities of the territory of these metropolitan cities, considering that there has been a detailed study on the young people of Clay. This is data that is very useful to us because we are already present on site with a series of interventions: in the meantime there is the Planning Office table and, shortly, some meetings will start. And then there are the funds Pinqua for urban regeneration”.

«It is important to pay attention to the two poverty maps we have Reggio – he added in conclusion Nucera – one is located ad Clay, the other is that of Ciccarello-Modena. And, above all, attention must be given to young people: in these neighborhoods we need to intensify services and provide points of reference so that they can regain trust in the institutions and in the area in which they live.”
