On the restyling of San Siro entrusted to WeBuild there is still no document and no project, but only a statement of intent that also involves Inter, Milan and the Municipality of Milan. This is what Libero claims, reporting that the Forza Italia municipal councilor, Alessandro De Chiricohas submitted to the administration a request for access to the documents regarding the “WeBuild documentation” for the “renovation and restyling of the Meazza stadium”.

The response was that, “in the meeting held on 21 June, with the participation of representatives of Ac Milan and FC Inter, WeBuild has presented the main lines of the study carried out – is explained by the general manager, Christian Malangonein a note from the Municipality – for subsequent and possible evaluation by the aforementioned companies. Last February, WeBuild spontaneously proposed the start of a feasibility study for the redevelopment of the Meazza Stadium, making itself available to independently develop it with costs at its own expense, therefore without any assignment or commitment from the Municipality of Milan. Therefore, no document and/or project was delivered to the Municipality of Milan on the occasion of the aforementioned meeting”.

De Chirico comments on the fact with irony: “They presented him with a project without a project, but what is it? A joke – we read in Calcio e Finanza -. I asked the presidents of the competent commissions (Sport, Olympics, Green with the addition of the State Property Commission) to bring us together and in these hours I am finishing the collection of signatures from the opposition councilors. We want to see the project and, since it is a public property, better understand the hypothesis of the transfer of the surface rights and what the municipal administration has in mind. Once again the mayor alone in command is guilty of presumption and did not want to listen to those who simply want the good of their city”.
