(AGENPARL) – Tue 25 June 2024 City Council: Wednesday 26 June extraordinary meeting on the track
cycle path, Thursday 27 June ordinary session with 15 points on the agenda
Two sessions of the City Council (both in the “Luigi Sturzo” council chamber of the Palazzo
dell’Aquila) in the next few days. The first, extraordinary and urgent, requested by the centre-right councilors –
first signatory Sergio Gruttadauria -, is scheduled for 8pm on Wednesday 26 June and will have as its sole theme
the motion on the cycle path, presented by the councilors themselves and aimed at engaging the mayor “a
suspend the imminent start of the works and identify a more suitable location, located in the peripheral areas
of the city, where a cycle path can be created for the benefit of the community”.
The second session, of an ordinary nature, scheduled, as convened by the president
Francesco Incarbone, at 7pm on Thursday 27th, will have the following topics on the agenda: 1) Agenda,
presented by president Francesco Incarbone as part of an initiative of the Coordination of
presidents of the municipal councils of the province of Catania, for activities in support of the agricultural sector; 2)
Approval of the municipal regulation relating to the creation of dehors on public land; 3)
Approval of the regulation regarding the protection and welfare of animals adopted by resolution of the Council
of November 2023; 4) Adoption of the three-year program outline (2024-2026) for public works and
annual job list for 2024; 5) Approval of detailed reports of Council meetings
municipal from n.1 to n.8 of 2024; 6) Adoption of the asset disposal and valorisation plan
available for 2024; 7) Motion, presented by the centre-left councilors – first signatory
Vincenzo Di Stefano – for the naming of a street or square in the city after the Caltagirone partisan
Angelo Aliotta “Diego”; 8) Ratification of a municipal council resolution which resulted in a
budget change for the 2024 financial year; 9) Award order relating to compensation for damages
recognized to a citizen; 10) Report to the City Council by Mayor Fabio Roccuzzo, relating to
period October 2022 – October 2023; 11) Ratification of a council resolution regarding
strengthening of social services; 12) Approval of the Economic and Financial Plan (Pef) for the years 2024 and
2025; 13) Tari (Waste tax), approval of tariffs for 2024 – Acknowledgment of the Board of Directors’ resolution
of Kalat Ambiente Srr which approves the new PEF for the years 2024 and 2025; 14) Recognition of a debt
out of budget for the damage caused by the fall of two pine trees from a green area of ​​the Municipality onto one
iron fence of an adjacent house; 15) Renewal of permanent council commissions.
