The opinion of the former Udinese coach on Barak, Mandragora, and Raffaele Palladino’s Fiorentina
The former coach of Udinese (and of Barak and Mandragora) Julio Velazquez spoke today on Radio Bruno. Here are his words.
“Barak? I have extraordinary memories of him: he is a very good person and a good footballer. He is a player of depth who can do even better. He has a lot of quality and a good game. His real role? For me he can be a midfielder that the 10, even if his ideal position, in my opinion, is the midfielder. Does the same apply to Barak Ho a great memory of him, both as a person and as a player. He was very young when we met at Udinese, but he was already mature. He plays well and gives a lot of work to the team in training and in matches he can do even better. For me, Mandragora is more of a midfielder than a midfielder. Unlike Barak, who is more inclined to get close to the opponent’s area. I met him at Vitória Setúbal It wasn’t easy for him, but I have an extraordinary memory of a great foot and a very proactive football. Palladino? I think he can do very well at Fiorentina. At a coaching level I think he did well at Monza, and I believe that thanks also to Pradè’s work he can do well. The Sporting Director has a lot of experience, I have positive memories of him, and I hope it can be a beautiful and stimulating season for him and for Fiorentina.”
