The ASL underlined that the legacy of Mrs. Vita Carrapa was allocated to the district rehabilitation center with high robotic technology because, responding to the testamentary provisions of 95, it wanted to provide Maglie and the South Salento with a modern and qualified rehabilitation center of reference which will have a very large impact on the territory.

“This more concrete and visible path was chosen over the idea, although tested, of the possibility that the bequest could be used to build the hospital in South Salento – the ASL underlined -. The infrastructure, while remaining in the regional planning, requires much larger sums”.
