Martufello is a very popular Italian comedian, unfortunately he was the victim of a motorbike accident which he himself described with regret.
He said he felt worse with each passing moment, but was happy to be still alive.
Fabrizio Maturani, this is his baptismal name, was born in Sezze on 21 December 1951. During a show in Latina, when he was very young, he was noticed by a manager who reported him to Pier Francesco Pingitore and this radically changed the path of his career. He himself has said several times that he owes everything to the creator of Bagaglino, proving himself to be the protagonist of a great affection towards him.
Towards the end of the seventies he was called as a jokester in the Il Bagaglino theater company precisely and we can say that his affirmation arrives at that moment. The debut on TV came at the end of the 1980s with Biberon and there were many other programs over the years.
He also acted a lot in the cinema, proving capable of taking on different roles and always managing to make the audience smile. Except once, when he unfortunately was the victim of an accident.
The Martufello accident
Martufello himself spoke of the fear of a terrible motorcycle accident. In 2015 the actor was aboard his scooter in the historic center of the municipality of Cura di Vetralla in the province of Viterbo, when a Golf hit him and made him fall to the ground.
Local police and ambulance intervened immediately with the man having suffered a fractured nasal septum and numerous wounds to his head and leg. Luckily he didn’t have any major complications.
He explained to Adnkronos: “The more time passes, the worse I feel. I have pain everywhere, I can’t put my feet on the ground. I have a broken nasal septum and then abrasions everywhere. The left foot is burned by the muffler. They told me to rest for at least 10-15 days. In the end, however, I’m here to tell it and so it’s fine.”
Then he added: “I went slowly because I’m always scared. The car in front didn’t notice me overtaking and turned on late. Now all I could do was try to finish the maneuver, I couldn’t stop.”
The situation ended with great fear and fortunately no serious consequences for the well-known actor loved by all the Italian public.
