These are some of the tips given by Dr. Anna Rita Giampetruzzi, director of the Dermatology UOC of the Immacolata Irccs Dermopathic Institute, on how and when to use sunscreens.
The importance of sunscreens
As Dr. Giampetruzzi points out, «with respect to the production of melanin which constitutes a natural defense of skinclothing and the application of sunscreens guarantee additional protection especially when exposure becomes protracted or when in certain hours of the day during the summer the radiation reaches a particular intensity”.
