“I would like to continue on this path – continues Franceschetti -, which we can also follow thanks to the substantial regional funding which allows us to improve the quality of the shows and public participation every yearand thus give maximum attention to finding the most suitable show for each village, respecting the identity and vocation of the places, so heterogeneous and therefore so rich in different stimuli and emotions, for the curious, slow and experiential tourist”.

“For nine years Friuli Venezia Giulia has stood out on the national scene”

Markus Maurmairregional councilor of Friuli Venezia Giulia and member of the national board ofNational Association of the most beautiful villages in Italy emphasizes that “For nine years Friuli Venezia Giulia has stood out on the national scene for having created a coordinated calendar of events since the first edition, selected by careful and sensitive artistic direction”.

“The facts proved us right – continues Maurmair – given thatand our Festival has no equal on a national level; 2024 is a particularly rich year in terms of events and artists on the bill, also thanks to the resources that we have confidently secured for the network of our 13 villages, which, I am sure, will expand in a few months with other memberships, as evidence that the brand of The most beautiful villages in Italy is certainly a winner”.

“Today, those who travel seek authentic experiences”

“After pandemic – these are the words of the Regional Councilor for Tourism, Sergio Emidio Bini – tourism trends have profoundly changed. Today, those who travel seek authentic experiences, in contact with nature and local traditions. In this sense, Friuli Venezia Giulia can boast an unparalleled offer: far from mass tourism, there is waiting for the visitor a heritage made of culture, art and unique flavours. No one is able to represent this richness better than small villages. This is why the Region convincingly supports initiatives such as the Romantic Night, which every year showcases local history and traditions to tell the truest and most authentic side of our Friuli Venezia Giulia. A round of applause to the organizers and to all the 13 municipalities involved, because with this event they guarantee not only the valorisation of the territory from a tourist perspective, but also an active effort to relaunch the internal areas”.
