On the radio and in streaming “It seems yesterday”, the new single by RENESTO with Sorry Mom!, a preview of the new album

The song, with opaque, dark and melancholy tones, is the photograph of a moment, a moment in which the author turns back and reviews, in a few images, the entire journey from the past to today.

With the rhetorical expedient of a hypothetical trial, RENESTO asks the court to judge him and, if appropriate, condemn him for everything he failed to build, achieve and complete during his now substantial journey.

To look forward, to have a future, it is necessary to understand, accept and metabolize one’s past.

The song, inspired by indie sounds, old school rap from the 90s, was produced and created at the ANIMAL HOUSE STUDIO in Ferrara by Roberto Renesto himself and Federico Viola.

Emanuele Zullo on guitar, Andrea Marchesin on bass and Filippo Dallamagnana on drums collaborated.

The cover graphics were designed and created by Giorgio Felloni.

“We look back and in an instant we realize what we have become, what is left of us…

It seems like yesterday we were playing with soap bubbles, playing at flying a kite.”

Roberto Renesto, aka Renesto, was born in Ferrara in 1969.

Pianist, accordionist, author and composer, member since 1989 of the group STRIKE, a band established nationally in the early 90s with which he has produced numerous recordings and participated in hundreds of “live” performances up to now, sharing the stage with numerous artists including Mano Negra, Wailers, Elmer Food Beat, Babylon Fighters, Les Casse Pieds, Vinicio Capossela, Mau Mau, Africa Unite, Sergio Messina and 99 Posse, Aereoplani Italiani, Fratelli di Soledad, Persiana Jones, Ritmo Tribale, Isola Posse , Vallanzaska, Giuliano Palma, Ustmamò, Statuto, Afterhours.

In addition to STRIKE, he participated in the theater-song project GLI SHERZI DI SUSY with Stefano Marcolini and Giorgio Felloni, and still collaborates as a pianist with the Latin music group TRIBÚ TAYRONA.

Towards the end of 2018, the strong need arose in him to interpret songs of his own production and composition, giving life to his first solo album, “How are we going?”, published in July 2020 and distributed by the Ferrara label ALKA RECORD LABEL.

In March 2022 the single “Come le Star” was released on all digital platforms, followed in June of the same year by “DOVE ERAVAMO REMASTI” and “Duran Duran”.

On November 24, 2023, the single “Briciole” was released by Sorry Mom!, distributed by Artist First, followed in 2024 by the latest “sistenza Ieri”, both previews of the new album.
