What will be the plot of House of the Dragon 2? After seeing the new characters of House of the Dragon 2 who will make their debut in the next episodes, let’s discover together the story that will be at the center of the new season of the prequel TV series game of Thrones.
Based on the novel “Fire and Blood” by George RR Martin, the series is set 200 years before the events mentioned in “Game of Thrones” and tells the story of the legendary House Targaryen: after the coronation of King Aegon II, the second season of House of the Dragon follows the “Greens” and the “Blacks” as the Dance of the Dragons begins.
The new episodes will in fact see the kingdom split: each of the two factions believes their aspiration to the Iron Throne is legitimate, and everyone will have to choose which faction of House Targaryen to side with. As Alicent’s supporters attempt to run the kingdom from King’s Landing, despite the new king’s lack of leadership, Rhaenyra’s allies argue at Dragonstone whether to respond to the Greens’ affront with measured moves or with more incisive responses. While both women cling somewhat to the memory of their friendship, the heat of war has begun and they find themselves at odds with even their closest allies: plots to find support within the great houses shift the action of the series from within the walls of the Red Keep to the lands of Westeros, where petty family rivalries influence decisions as much as the looming threat of death and destruction. The desire to accumulate ever larger armies and as many strongholds divides the main characters, leading them on different paths on which mysterious visions await them, bastards with hidden talents and brutal dragon battles.
Available as always also in the original version with subtitles, for the first time the second season of the HBO Original and Sky Exclusive series will be offered immediately in Italian: the appointment is at 3.00 am between Sunday 16th and Monday 17th June on Sky Atlanticexclusively on Sky and NOW, and the episode will then be shown again on Monday evening in prime time.
