“The Friuli Venezia Giulia Environmental Protection Agency carried out additional verification sampling in all bathing areas where limit values were exceeded. The additional samples taken in the Municipalities of Staranzano (at the point called “Staranzano lido”), Monfalcone (at the points called “Marina Julia” and “Marina Nova”), Trieste (at the point called “Diga nord”) and Muggia (at the points called “Bagno Muggesano” and “Bagno GMT”), have values compliant with the norm for bathing, which can therefore resume regularly“.
This was announced by the regional councilor for environmental protection Fabio Scoccimarro, who reported that in the afternoon the results of the supplementary analyzes of the Municipality of Grado (in the points called “Camping Tenuta Primero”, “Camping Europa and Punta Spin” and “Lido del Carabiniere”).
“The samples analyzed had presented faecal contamination indicators exceeding the limits permitted by bathing regulations most likely due to the heavy rains of the previous days and therefore of short duration. According to the legal limits – added Scoccimarro – the resampling should take place within 72 hours, but the indications I gave to Arpa at the beginning of the season was to proceed within 24 hours please use the tourist and bathing services“.
