Mystery surrounding the death of Filippo Simionato, the Prosecutor’s Office orders an autopsy

He was foaming at the mouth, a symptom of intoxication, and empty bottles of alcohol (beer) were found in his room. The suspicion is that Filippo Simionato, the 18-year-old found dead by his mother on the afternoon of yesterday 12 June inside his home in Casale sul Sile, died from a lethal mix of drugs and alcohol. And maybe even drugs. The public prosecutor Giulio Caprarola has opened a file in which the death is hypothesized as a consequence of another crime. It was also decided that an autopsy will be conducted on the boy’s body which, with toxicological tests, should help to solve the mystery.

The boy had gone out on Tuesday evening but returned home early. Then he locked himself in the room where several bottles of beer were found, which were presumed to have been consumed during the same evening. Filippo was a fragile boy, struggling with psychiatric problems for which he regularly took drugs. The trail followed by the investigators who are carrying out investigations into his death is that the young man perhaps exceeded the dose of medicines or intoxication caused by the simultaneous intake of alcohol. But it cannot be ruled out that Filippo may have also consumed drugs. For the moment, however, the hypothesis of an extreme gesture seems to be excluded. The public prosecutor also ordered the seizure of the 18-year-old’s mobile phone to verify the boy’s latest contacts and above all to try to identify the people with whom he met on Monday evening before the tragedy.
