Last day of the electoral campaign, Saturday and Sunday we will vote for the renewal of the Urbino City Council and the invitation to vote arrives from the candidates, in particular to vote even separately, as Maurizio Gambini says.

“I invite all citizens to go and vote on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th. We are experiencing an epochal historical moment for our city, because these elections are the first in the history of Urbino as a provincial capital. It is a result that belongs to the whole city and all citizens are an active part of it. The official recognition as the capital has determined the application of the electoral system of municipalities with more than 15 thousand inhabitants, regardless of the demographic size to 9 councillors, as happens for capital municipalities with a population of less than 100 thousand inhabitants”.

“It will be a celebration for our Urbino – continues Gambini – and I really hope that the citizens will seize this unique opportunity, in which we will be called to vote for a more complete and more representative body”.

Why does he also invite the possibility of split voting?

“I understand that many citizens may find themselves in difficulty, because they have a friend or family member running on lists supporting other mayoral candidates, but this electoral system also allows separate voting, i.e. the direct election of the mayor. So it is possible to vote for a candidate for councilor on any list and vote for Maurizio Gambini as mayor”.

Federico Scaramucci: “We are two days away from the vote. We have done a great job with our coalition. We have listened to the people, we have discussed to share the project of the “City to come”, now we have reached the point. We think that Gambini has done what it could do in the past ten years. Now the city needs a new project – says Scaramucci -, a different one, which looks to young people in a new relationship with the University and tries to work with the second engine of the city. which is tourism and which somehow makes Urbino a protagonist again. At a territorial level we need collaboration with other municipalities, at a national and international level Urbino must return to the place it deserves small global city in the world”.

Tonight the candidates will speak in Piazza della Repubblica which will host Federico Scaramucci at 7.30 pm, Maurizio Gambini at 9 pm and Maria Francesca Crespini at 10.30 pm. Gambini’s lists will speak from 4pm to 7pm, the only ones who have signed up to hold a closing rally.
