Set fire outside a house, 19 year old arrested in flagrante delicto

As part of theterritorial control action by the State Police arrested, yesterday evening, Monday 3 June, a young woman who was responsible for the arson of a dumpster near the Central University Library of Trento and for resisting a public official.

The staff of the Flying Squad of the Trento Police Headquarters, in fact, already engaged in the area for a previous intervention, noticed a young 19 year old girl, known to the operators, while she was wandering near the Parco delle Albere.

After following her, the officers were able to observe her while he set fire to a waste bin located right next to an apartment building.

Once the flames were extinguished promptly – thanks to the service fire extinguisher supplied and before they could cause damage to the housing structure present there – the police headquarters staff he chased and stopped the girl who, having found herself discovered, promptly ran away.

Considering the conduct of the young woman – who, moreover, he tried on several occasions to hit the officers to escape capture – and of numerous specific precedents for arson, she was arrested and, following the immediate hearing held in the early afternoon of today, she was sentenced to eight months in prison, with the sentence conditionally suspended pending the completion of a psychological recovery process.
