Lhov, the integrated cooking and extraction system designed for Elica by its chief design officer Fabrizio Crisà wins the Compasso D’Oro, an international design award
It is already the second time in the company’s history: last June 20, in the spaces of the ADI Design Museum in Milan, the president of Elica Francesco Casoli and the chief design officer Fabrizio Crisà received the Compasso D’Oro, international design award now in its XXVIII edition, for Lhov, the revolutionary integrated cooking and extraction system.
“TOwinning the Compasso D’Oro with a product like Lhov represents for me the ‘second’ most important celebration of my work as a designer – comments the Elica’s chief design officer, Fabrizio Crisà -. The second… because it is the second Compasso D’Oro that I have obtained since the first in 2018 with NikolaTesla! And the second gives an even stronger emotion because, as with all incredible and extraordinary things, it seemed impossible that it could happen again. Lhov is a product born from an inspiration, a night in which all the dots were connected that gave life to this unique product. It was a challenge that seemed impossible, because Lhov is a product that brings with it so much innovation, which revolutionizes the idea of a kitchen appliance. And only Elica, I must say with a pinch of madness and recklessness, could enthusiastically aim to make such a long leap, exceeding all limits. This award tells us that we made the right choices and that leap brought us to Lhov today. And winning the Compasso D’Oro with a household appliance makes everything even more extraordinary”.
