The Udine prosecutor tries to clarify the Natisone tragedy. Massimo Lia, in a press conference, spoke on the story of the two girls who died due to the flood of the river and the third boy who is still missing: «We have opened an investigation for manslaughter against unknown persons, in these events, to proceed we must establish responsibility for omissive type, not commissive. We will conduct all the necessary investigations – he explained – to ascertain whether the rescue was timely. However, I would like to point out that, at present, there are no specific elements that make us go in this direction, but the checks are at an initial stage”. «Patrizia made four phone calls to the single emergency number 112, the last of which went unanswered – Prosecutor Lia further specified -. The first call was made at 1.29pm, the others in the minutes immediately following. From the first investigations, everything took place over a period of time that can be roughly quantified as half an hour. From a situation of apparent tranquility, that tumultuous flow of the Natisone river overwhelmed them.”
