Bergamo. Third serious accident of the day, this time on the stretch of A4 motorway between Bergamo And Dalmine.
Just before 20 on Wednesday (June 12), at Colognolaat the entrance to the city, a huge pile-up occurred which involved 6 car. According to initial reconstructions, the vehicles stopped in the queue were hit by a truck transporting cars.

About ten injuries were reported, between 30 and 65 years of age: the most serious is a woman, taken under code red to the Papa Giovanni XXIII hospital in Bergamo: apparently, she was on board the Mercedes which ended up under the car transporter of the truck which transported the cars. Three other people were taken under code yellow to the Papa Giovanni, Niguarda hospitals in Milan and Civili hospitals in Brescia; three others still in code green at Gavazzeni and Bolognini in Seriate. Still others were evaluated on site, but not hospitalized.
A slew of emergency vehicles intervened: a 118 helicopter, then 2 medical vehicles, 2 medical vehicles, 7 ambulances, fire fighters of Bergamo and the volunteers of Treviglio, as well as the Police of Seriate for the surveys.
Traffic in the direction of the city was completely paralyzed, with at least two kilometers of queues to enter Bergamo.
A dramatic day from a road traffic point of view. In the afternoon, a 46-year-old lost his life in a head-on collision in Zanica, while an 18-year-old boy is in serious condition after colliding with his motorbike against a Ford Focus in Dalmine.
