The prize has arrived at the eleventh editionwas created to underline the role and value of these fundamental cultural centers in the area, and to remember the figure and commitment of Roberto Teeth (1924-2013) journalist, writer and above all founder, together with Gianna Vitali (1943-2016), of the historic Children’s Bookshop in Milan. The award jury is made up of the AIE children’s editors and the management of the ANDERSEN magazine.
Born in 2014 from an idea of Lucia Ciprianiformer librarian and provincial coordinator of Nati per Leggere, the Farfilò bookshop is a welcoming bookshop which over the years has consolidated relationships with schools, associations and local entities, becoming a point of reference for children in the area.

These are the reasons for the choice of jury: “For the cultural work, now lasting more than ten years, on the side of girls and boys; with the timely selection of titles from the best children’s publishing, enhancing the catalog through booksno hurry‘, capable of recounting childhood itself. THE AWARDS
The Prize will be awarded Saturday 25 May during the 43rd edition of Andersen Prize which will be held in Genoa in the Sala del Minor Consiglio of Palazzo Ducale and will put the spotlight on the excellence of the publishing scene for children of the year.
“The Gianna and Roberto Denti Award is an authoritative opportunity to recognize the right importance to bookseller’s professiona fundamental link between editorial production and readers of all ages” he declared Carlo Gallucci, coordinator of the Permanent Commission for Children of AIE. “The best children’s bookshop chosen this year perfectly represents the values of the award: the great ability to invite the little ones to read by developing the imagination and the desire to create meeting opportunities to consistently nourish the passion for culture and books”.
