A tragic road accident shook the local community in the early evening today, when a 54-year-old forest policeman, Luca Pulsinelli, originally from Sora and on duty in Villetta Barrea, lost his life on the provincial road 83 Marsicana.
From the first reconstructions carried out by the Carabinieri of the Castel di Sangro company, who immediately intervened at the accident site to investigate the case, it seems that the 54-year-old lost control of his motorbike, a Suzuki 600, crashing into a wall.
The motorists in transit immediately provided first aid, but unfortunately, when the 118 doctors arrived, it was not possible to do anything other than confirm Pulsinelli’s death. The dynamics of the accident seem to indicate that the policeman did everything alone, without the involvement of other vehicles.
The accident caused traffic delays along provincial road 83, an often busy road and an important connection for the area. The community of Villetta Barrea and Sora is deeply affected by the loss of a man known and respected for his commitment to protecting the territory and nature.
Pulsinelli’s colleagues, along with family and friends, are now united in grief over the passing of a man who dedicated his life to serving others.
