1,000 bomb alerts in a single day

AGI – Slovakian schools and institutions, including banks, received over 1,100 bomb threats today, prompting evacuations across the country, police said, announcing the launch of aterrorism investigation.
“The act is being investigated as a particularly serious crime dthe terrorist attack“, said Rastislav Polakovic, deputy police chief.

“The emails started arriving at the schools today, from 5 or 6 in the morning,” explained Rastislav Polakovic, the deputy police chief, stressing that this is a “particularly serious crime of a terrorist attack.”
On their official Facebook page, the police said they were “working at full speed, monitoring school security and trying to identify” the perpetrators of this “attack”, who could face life imprisonment. Lucia Forman, spokeswoman for authorities in the capital Bratislava, said she alone had recorded bomb threats at dozens of schools. “We have taken all necessary measures, the children have been evacuated and the police are dealing with the matter,” she said.
