On May 3rd, the “A day as a fisherman” initiative was held in the port of Termoli, promoted by the National Fisheries Observatory together with the San Basso Producers Organization, the Pesce Nostrum refreshment point and the Schweitzer primary school of Termoli. A day dedicated to 50 fourth grade children who visited a trawling boat to learn about the spaces, fishing techniques, setting the nets and the rules of the sea. “A little-known and sometimes despised world which instead has a fundamental role for entire coastal communities and for guaranteeing the best fish on Italian tables. – He declared Francesca BiondoPresident of the National Fisheries Observatory – for this reason, in addition to our main role of training operators in the sector, we carry forward the commitment to transmit to children the love for the sea and the knowledge of a traditional sector such as fishing.”
