Livorno, 5 May 2024 – Rather than unity in the parties, here we are witnessing friendly fire with no holds barred. Left and right, there is no distinction. Let’s start with Forza Italia, how can we not wish Elisa Amato a Happy Sunday. A life spent at school, a historic mathematics teacher, appreciated both as a principal and as a superintendent. She is the municipal coordinator and animal guarantor, she is still in the front row today, despite her white hair, at banquets to collect signatures in support of that list that will see her in first place. She, alone or almost alone, held Berlusconi’s flag high, showing uncommon dedication and willpower.
And where are the others? To close ranks in Cecina where victory is not at all a given. Friendly fire in the League. Here in first place on the list is Carlo Ghiozzi ready with his camper for the vote on 8 June. Ghiozzi came under fire for that diabolical ‘prank’ which sees Andrea Romiti among the candidates for the council followed by Romito Helen Francesca – similar surnames so feared at the polls – just to weaken General Vannacci’s fans a little.
Friendly fire on the left with Consul Raugei applauded by the right but ended up in the meat grinder, not only of the dockers, for having granted the 4Mori to the Northern League member Matteo Salvini. What remains of the hard and pure ‘comrades’ in the Democratic Party attack him on private chats, even addressing him with somewhat irreverent nicknames, but they have not come out into the open. They were waiting for a response from the municipal secretary of the PD Mirabelli, but it didn’t happen… He’s busy with other things, we know by now, too many aspiring councilors and too few seats.
After all, however, not everyone in the big game put Raugei on the gridiron. Indeed, it seems that Biricotti, Susini and Brilli supported the choice not to deny the historic ‘red’ building to the national secretary of the Northern League. Don’t blame Roberto Piccini, whose outburst on Facebook received a lot of likes. For stomach blows there are other remedies!
