FABRIANO – LabStoria announces that the eighteenth meeting of the project “An hour of local history with LabStoria” will take place in the Library on Wednesday 17 April 2024, at 3 pm. Alvaro ROSSI and Lucio LUCCI will speak on the topic: «December 1943-June 1944, the 27 missions behind the lines in the Marche».
Alvaro Rossi, after an entire life spent in Rome, where he worked in the field of film and television advertising with his own company, and where he taught and worked in the field of filming equipment in the large studios of the new commercial television, engaging in the field in technological innovation, in the early 2000s he returned to the Marche, to Sassoferrato, where for a while he continued to be interested in new technologies and bibliophilia, and then dedicated himself to historical studies of the modern and contemporary age in our areas and then of entire Marche and central Italy.
He is a member of the Association of Contemporary History of Senigallia and of the Institute of History of Contemporary Marche of Ancona. For some years he was the President of the Sassoferrato section and the provincial vice President of the ANPI. He has numerous contributions to his credit on various topics of history and culture and has written and edited several political and literary books and magazines.
Lucio Lucci, from Sassoferrate, graduated from the Industrial Technical Institute specializing in paper making, carried out his first work experiences in private industry, until he became a small entrepreneur in the field of “non-woven fabrics”. Researcher of modern military history, in particular of the First and Second World Wars, he is a regular visitor to the State Archives of Ancona, where he is profitably consulting the unexplored collection of the Prefecture.
In April last year he contributed to the installation of the exhibition «1922: the fascist occupation of the Marche. The cases of Fabriano, Cerreto d’Esi, Genga, Sassoferrato”, together with the Gramsci Marche Institute and LabStoria.
