Games, tradition and flavours for the patronal feast
San Piero in Campo is preparing to experience one of the most heartfelt moments of the year: the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul, patron saints of the town. An opportunity to gather, celebrate faith and rediscover one’s roots through a rich program of events that will involve the entire community.
The Patron Saint’s Games: fun for all ages
The celebrations will start on Saturday 29 June at 4pm in Facciatoia with the Patron Games, an afternoon dedicated to fun for adults and children. Awaiting children from 0 to 7 years old will be a program of games together, while for the older ones, from 7 to 11 years old, there will be a Junior treasure hunt. Children aged 12 to 18 will be able to try their hand at an exciting treasure hunt. For all participants, a delicious snack offered by APS San Piero.
Evening of faith, tradition and taste
At 9:30 pm the community will gather for the sung mass, a moment of meditation and prayer to celebrate Saints Peter and Paul. Immediately after the mass, the procession through the town will take place, winding through the streets of the historic center.
The party will end in the church square with a convivial moment. Here, amidst music and joy, it will be possible to taste typical local products, such as the delicious fringes, prepared with love by the town’s housewives.
