A meeting is scheduled for this afternoon between Napoli, represented by Giovanni Manna, and Giuseppe Riso, Alessandro Buongiorno’s agent. The idea is to unblock the deal that will bring the defender to the Azzurri as soon as possible, after Antonio Conte specifically requested it. Buongiorno himself has given his approval to the transfer, after a season ago he had hesitated on the possibility of ending up at Atalanta, considered as a relative step in his career.
Instead, Napoli finds favor with the player, despite failing to qualify for the cups. In the next few days, the white smoke is expected with the consequent signature. Buongiorno should arrive at – almost – tripling his salary, around 2.5 million euros plus bonuses until June 30, 2029.
The valuation of Toro is the same as last winter, that is, around 40 million euros. Also possible is the inclusion of Ostigard on loan with the right to buy to reach, more or less, the figure. In recent days there has been talk of a future to be written after the European Championship, with a situation practically outlined. Juventus should sell, eventually, before buying, as well as Milan and Inter: the Nerazzurri do not even have the need to move the defense too much, already considered largely competitive.
