Verderio: in 50 at the 3rd edition. of the Viridevolley Volleyball-Day

A fantastic day of open air volleyball for the 3rd edition of Volleyball-Day organized by Viridevolley with the support of the volunteers of the Verderio oratory.

Record attendance this year with almost 50 kids registered in two separate tournaments, U14-U16 and Minivolley.

Mixed teams made up of the girls from Viridevolley and the boys from AS Merate, who also fielded around ten U17s alongside the two elimination rounds with the same methods of awarding ranking points as last year.

After a whole morning of non-stop matches, with finally summer sun, refreshing breeze, grilled salami, balls constantly flying, music for all tastes and above all a lot of sweat and many dunks, the final stages began at 4pm.

In the minivolleyball tournament, the decisive match between “Mercury” and “Pluto” saw the latter prevail at the end of a hard-fought challenge, while in the adults’ tournament the competitive level already rose from the quarter-finals.

In fact, the final between “Black-Friday” and “Ocean’s Three” was also beautiful and super exciting, ending with the victory of the boys with the dark armbands after almost half an hour of a match played point to point.

Then the awards ceremony, with gadgets for everyone and medals for the winners, game yes, maximum effort… but above all lots of fun as part of the now classic volleyball event that closes the competitive season of Viridevolley.
