Barrenechea and not McKennie: the quid pro quo in the Douglas Luiz deal changes

The negotiating table between Juve and Aston Villa does not stop. Rather it evolves: faced with the requests – considered exaggerated – of McKennie, we think about another technical counterpart: the English would prefer Soulé (who the Bianconeri value at 40 million), from Continassa they offer Barrenechea (which is still a welcome solution). Iling has already agreed on everything for the immediate transfer to the Premier League, Douglas Luiz has already promised himself to Juve and has also had direct contact with Thiago Motta. The operation will take place, and within the established deadlines: for Aston Villa, in fact, it is necessary to finalize a transfer by 30 June to fall within the parameters of financial fair play.

NEGOTIATION

The comparison will now move to evaluations. Barrenechea should be able to move for a figure around 15-20 million: less than McKennie’s initial valuation, but the sum is closer to what Juve wants to obtain from the sale of Soulé. The key to the negotiation could be represented by a variable part in favor of Juve in the event that the two youngsters reach certain objectives in the next seasons: the Juventus club would keep the lowest valuations immediately, in order to close the operation, but he would still have some rights (economically) later on, so as not to devalue his talents too much.
