The Saxophone Museum in Fiumicino pays homage to Pino Daniele with ‘Mal di Te’ as part of the ‘Fai bei suoni’ festival. The tribute concert, conceived by Giulia Maglione and dedicated to the musical legacy of the iconic Neapolitan artist, will be held on Saturday 6 July at 9:30 pm on the museum’s outdoor stage.

A Tribute to Pino Daniele and the City of Naples

“Mal Di Te” is a musical project designed to celebrate the meeting of souls and the sharing of experiences, emotions and empathy, in perfect Neapolitan style. The evening features the Iesaino’ Band, composed of Andrea Panzera on guitar, Umberto de Santis on double bass, Andrea Borrelli on percussion and drums, and Maurizio Yorck as narrator. Yorck will enrich the performance with important anecdotes and curiosities from Pino Daniele’s career.

A Repertoire Rich in Musical Nuances

The repertoire of the tribute concert ranges from songs from Pino Daniele’s first albums such as “Terra mia”, “Vai mò” and “Nero a metà” to iconic pieces such as “Napul’è”. The choice of songs expertly mixes the sound of blues, jazz, funk and Neapolitan music, creating a unique atmosphere. The intent is to capture the soul of the city of Naples, emphasizing recurring themes such as love, passion, daily life and urban challenges.

Respecting and Celebrating Pino Daniele’s Musical Legacy

In addition to Pino Daniele’s original songs, the concert will include some reinterpretations of his classics. These reinterpretations, while fully respecting the original compositions, will celebrate Pino Daniele’s musical legacy and the contaminations that have influenced his extraordinary artistic path. The evening promises to be an unmissable event for all fans of his music.
