Elkann, the Lawyer and the future

Football has been a true passion for our family. A responsibility that we have had for more than 100 years, and a passion that we share with the many families who love Juventus“. This is underlined by John Elkannpresident of Exor, the family holding company which also controls the Juventus team, in an episode of the podcast ‘In good Company’ hosted by Nicolai Tangen, CEO of Norges Bank, one of the most important Norwegian sovereign wealth funds in the world.

Elkann and the passion for Juventus

My children were lucky enough to grow up in a period in which Juventus won nine Scudetti in a row – explains Elkann –. So, like my grandfather, they grew up with a Juventus team that achieved extraordinary results, and for this reason they are incredibly passionate about it. Football is made up of people, competition and great performances, just like our clubs. A football club is made up of people, it is made up of competition and resources to try to use in the best possible way. And since our societies aspire to achieve great thingsthere is much to learn from high-intensity environments such as those of professional sport“.

The Ferrari boat

We announced the project for a Ferrari boat. And it was really important to get to work on an internal project where we could use our aerodynamics skills“, added John Elkann, who explains how the boat with Soldini will be ready in 2026: “We also look at how it can ‘fly’, because the new boats we see arriving all have foils, also creating a new spirit of competition. I have worked with Giovanni Soldini for the last decade first on a monohull vessel, followed by a trimaran, and now with this new project. He is a person who has incredible experience: there is great emotion in trying to build something new which does not exist, and is also very important for how we at Ferrari think about the future“, he concluded.
