The 167th episode of #atuttogas, online on Moto.it and on the main podcast platforms starting from 9 am on Sunday 16 June, features the Pirelli motorcycle racing manager as a guest to take stock of the situation on SBK and, above all, on Moto3 and Moto2. And MotoGP?

June 14, 2024

GGiorgio Barbier he is in Misano for the Italian race of the SBK world championship. In that championship, Pirelli has been a staple for years now, while in MotoGP returned this year as the new supplier of Moto3 and Moto2. How is it going?

We were a bit tense – says the Pirelli manager – for Moto3, because the measurements in this category are different from our usual ones, however it is giving us great satisfaction. Nice to see these young guys starting to understand how to take advantage of our tyres.”

The balance is also positive in Moto2.

“We didn’t have high expectations, knowing that we are ‘over wheeled’with frames built on competitor tires (Dunlop, ed), with characteristics very different from ours. We started in Qatar with difficult conditions, then from the second GP onwards it was all downhill. We still need to work on adapting the bikes, but we are satisfied”.

Why do the Boscoscuros seem to be more effective with the Pirellis? Are the problems that emerged in SBK and Moto2 similar? And the pressures? Are there any developments planned during the season? Will we return to more “tire dealers” in the motorspot? And is MotoGP an objective of Pirelli?

“MotoGP? As I always say…” the answer in the 167th episode of #atuttogas, online on Moto.it and on audio platforms starting from 9.00 am on Sunday 16 June.

See you next week for a new episode of #atuttogas.
