The challenges of getting to Ariston
There will be four artists, three from Sanremo Giovani and one from Area Sanremo, who will access the Ariston Theater to participate in Sanremo 75 (scheduled from 4 to 8 February 2025) in the New Proposals category, which is once again separated from Big. The age of the participants is decreasing and there will be six television evenings with the final on 18 December. In the first phase, the artistic director Charles Conti and the Music Commission will listen to all the pieces presented, in compliance with the participation requirements, to arrive at a list of at least forty artists. Subsequently, live auditions (in the historic headquarters of Via Asiago in Rome) to reach a total of twenty-four young talents. From November 12th the actual competition will begin with the traditional challenges: for four second evenings on Rai 2 (12, 19, 26 November and 3 December) six artists will perform their songs live. Only three of them will pass the round, judged also in this case by the Music Commission. To the semi-final on December 10th, also broadcast in the late evening on Rai 2the twelve selected will enter and, through the mechanism of direct challenges, will be reduced to six: they will be joined by two artists from the Sanremo Area competition selected by the Rai Music Commission.

Finally, the final challenge in prime time on Rai 1 on December 18th live from the Sanremo Casino: the eight potential new proposals will perform to win the right to perform in February during Sanremo 2025. In the Sanremo Giovani final, the evaluation of the competing artists will be entrusted to a musical commission and to televoting by the public: each with a weight of 50%. The artistic director Carlo Conti he has declared: “The reintroduction of the New Proposals category, separate from that of the Big, is intended to constitute a concrete moment of further valorization of young people. The model that has been identified, and also the lowering of the chronological age, serves in fact to build a growth path lasting three months, between the various stages of Sanremo Giovani. All aimed at identifying the potential Big of the future through the challenge in the new proposals category in February”.
