Colombian success in 37th edition of the Brescia-Monte Magno, national classic for the Junior category. Santiago Martinez Cruz, a 17-year-old originally from Bogotà, crossed the uphill finish line alone, defending the colors of the Bergamo-based company Massì Supermercati directed by former professional Walter Clivati. Martinez Cruz took off in the most demanding part of the climb in which he managed to gain just enough to take the victory ahead of Giacomo Rosato, from Treviso of the Orobic Team F.lli Giorgi, and Pietro Galbusera from Lecco of the Pool Cantù team. Fourth place for Santiago Basso of Bustese Olonia, son of the former professional Ivan Basso, winner of two Giro d’Italia, who in turn precedes Ferronato, Bernardi and Peluso. 165 runners participated in the race.
