The exit of Amadeus from Rai in favor of Discovery continues to make news. The rumors have been going on for days now, the person concerned has never made any comments or official statements, but it seems clear that the decision has been made and will be communicated as early as the beginning of next week.
As for the reasons, the rumors that have emerged so far are all centered on the generous offer made by the competition, which would like to entrust Amadeus with the management of the entertainment sector of the Nove.
Amadeus didn’t feel free
According to what was reported by the Corriere, the numerous pressures received by the host in the last period would have had an influence. It seems that Amadeus was forced to say many “no”, especially for Sanremo. The festival was supposed to host well-regarded people at the top such as Poviathe presenter Hoara Borselli or Mogulwho should have joined Amadeus in the role of artistic director.
To further exacerbate relations, the fact that Rai rushed the host and, despite the contract expiring in August, requested an immediate response. It is also excluded that the economic factor had a preponderant influence. According to the newspaper, general director Giampaolo Rossi would have done “everything to retain the host, even with a major economic relaunch”.
It’s important to remember that these are just rumors. For this reason, the expectation is growing for the press release with which Amadeus will make his decision known and explain the actual situation.
