Gazzettino d’Argento, here is the award ceremony. Gazzetta Lucchese has scheduled the annual Gazzettino d’Argento award ceremony for next Friday 3 May, the performance trophy of the Rossoneri players based on the votes received in the championship from all the newspapers.
And which from this year is named in memory of my colleague Diego Checchi, who passed away last September.

Il Gazzettino d’argento – the award organized by the online newspaper organized in collaboration with Renat and Mav Autotrasporti, and based on the votes attributed by the newspapers (Il Tirreno, La Nazione, Gazzetta Lucchese, Corriere dello Sport Stadio, Gazzetta dello Sport and Tuttosport) – has reached its seventeenth edition. The winner of the 2023-2024 edition was Andrea Rizzo Pinna with an average seasonal score of 6.24. The winger effectively dominated the competition – which sees prizes awarded to those who have played at least 20 matches during the regular year – remaining at the top for almost the entire championship. In second place, Robert Gucher finished with an average of 6.11; in third place Niccolò Chiorra at 6.10. In the 2022-2023 edition Andrea Tiritiello won.

Alongside the three, recognition also goes to Ettore Quirini, who receives the first edition of the “Cuore Rossonero Beppe Lorenzini” award, established, thanks to the collaboration of Lucca United, to remember the great Rossonero fan who passed away a short time ago. The award is intended for the player who, beyond the votes obtained, has shown the greatest attachment to the shirt. The awards will be awarded in its usual location, namely Michele Tambellini’s Caffé Santa Zita, in the splendid Piazza San Frediano, starting from 6.30 pm.
