Ornella Vanoni performed in two concert-events at the end of April at the Teatro degli Arcimboldi in Milan and hosted numerous friends and colleagues on stage. During the first evening Mahmood, Patty Pravo, Giuliano Sangiorgi, Madame, Francesco Gabbani and Colapesce Dimartino took turns. In the second evening Gigi D’Alessio, Elisa, Emma, Calcutta, Mario Lavezzi and Dintonellapiaga. Also on stage are Paolo Fresu and the bandoneonist Daniele Di Bonaventura.
Ornella sang with Elisa “At least you in the universe” and Elisa thanked her colleague with wonderful words on her Instagram page: “Very few times, if ever, have I come down from a stage with my face streaked with tears and my heartbeat so fast. What triggered such strong emotions were Ornella’s happy eyes and at the same time the awareness they had inside.
And the meaning of it all was there, in his sincere smile.
Singing with an icon of Italian music of all time, which crosses time and space, is not something that happens often.
Today, in which we are increasingly obsessed with our performance and afraid of losing what we have, because we live in a bulimic system that wants so much of everything and wants it immediately and then quickly forgets about it and wants something else, hearing a column sing live carrier of our music and an ever relevant reference in contemporary times, a female artist with such a long history behind her, in front of her visibly emotional audience and in religious silence, is something that warms the heart and makes us reflect.
