During an interview with Screenrant to talk about Rebel Moon part 2 – The scarerZack Snyder spoke about the extended editions of the two films that will arrive on Netflix in the summer.
“I want to be honest, the deal I made with Netflix was the best part. They are incredible collaborators and have given me the resources to complete the extended editions on my exact terms. There are no durability problems. There are no problems of violence” explained the director. “It’s a dream for every director to have complete carte blanche. […] The aspect I’m most proud of is the fact that this absurd and crazy fun awaits you in August which for some will be like killing two birds with one stone“.
He then added.
The people at Netflix have also been incredible in making the PG-13 versions, so with the test screenings, with the suggestions and with all the usual discussions that take place to bring films like this to be seen by a large audience.
The director’s latest effort, Rebel Moon part 1 – Daughter of Fireis available on Netflix from December 22nd, while in the summer it will arrive in an extended edition. Rebel Moon part 2 – The scarer it will instead arrive on April 19, 2024.
