CASTELMASSA (Rovigo) – Saturday 29 June 2024, the Carabinieri of the Castelmassa Company arrested a 19-year-old Italian resident in one of the coastal municipalities of Alto Polesine, effectively homeless, in flagrant violation of the ” ban on approaching places frequented by the offended person”.
Just on Friday 28 June 2024, the aforementioned precautionary measure had been applied to the suspect, issued by the GIP of the Court of Rovigo at the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Rovigo, for the accusation hypothesis of the crime of stalking, in order to stop his conduct – both habitual and repeated as well as threatening and harassing – towards a shopkeeper, in whose premises he, since last March, has been used to lingering, annoying her, initially by playing pranks on her and offending her, later by physically attacking her and threatening her, even with death.
On Saturday 29 June, the young man, in breach of the requirements imposed on him, reached the business where the mother of the injured party was located, who requested the intervention of the Carabinieri.
The military, having promptly reached the premises, found the suspect still sitting at the external tables, which is why they arrested him, informing the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Rovigo, which requested the Court to validate it with a very direct procedure and the precautionary measure of ” residence ban”, obtaining both one and the other.
The boy was arrested, the proceedings are still in the preliminary investigation phase.
