I am 69 earthquakes recorded in the week from 24 to 30 June 2024 with a magnitude more intense than 2.0 (last week there were 55). This is what theVesuvius Observatory in the latest monitoring bulletin of the area of Phlegraean Fields.
Since 04:08 on 24 June 2024, a seismic swarm has been recorded consisting of 25 earthquakes with a maximum magnitude of 2.0, which occurred in the area of Solfatara.
From mid-April 2024 the average speed value of lift in the area of maximum deformation is about 20±3 mm/month at the GNSS station of Rione Terra (RITE), with the exception of a lowering of about 0.5-1 cmrecorded by some GNSS stations in the central area following the swarm of 20-21 May.
The lift recorded at RITE GNSS station it’s about 10.5 cm since January 2024 (last week it was about 10 cm).
Geochimica: “No significant variations were reported in the geochemical parameters monitored in the reference week compared to the already known trends of increased flows and heating of the hydrothermal system”.
The temperature sensor installed in a fumarolic emission 5 meters from the main fumarole of Pisciarelli showed an average value of ~95°C.
