Olbia. The Italian Government has confirmed the absolute priority of the Einstein Telescope project that will be built in Lula. This morning, in the council chamber of Olbia, the Minister of University and Research, Anna Maria Bernini signed a memorandum of understanding with the Spanish Deputy Minister of Science, Research and Innovation, Juan Cruz Cigudosa. Also present were important institutional and academic figures: the President of the Sardinia Region Alessandra Todde, the Mayor of Lula Mario Calia, the Mayor of Olbia Settimo Nizzi, the Rector of the University of Sassari Gavino Mariotti and that of the University of Cagliari Francesco Mola.

As reported by Ansa, the president of the Sardinia Region, Alessandra Todde, has underlined that a 40-kilometer buffer zone will be established around the Einstein Telescope site, thus guaranteeing the necessary protection for the project.

During the event, a meeting was held that was defined as fruitful and cordial between the President of the Region Todde and the Mayor of Olbia Nizzi, a sign of an effective and constructive collaboration between local and regional institutions, the press office of President Todde reports.

The Einstein Telescope project by Sos Enattos represents an initiative of great scientific and technological importance, capable of projecting Sardinia into the center of world research. With the support of Spain and the collaboration of Italian institutions, the goal is to create a center of excellence for innovation and research, with positive repercussions for the entire region.

Today marks an important step for the scientific and technological future of Sardinia, with the Einstein Telescope and the City of Science of Lula confirmed as top priorities for the Government. The collaboration between Italy and Spain further strengthens the foundations of this ambitious project, which promises to bring significant benefits in terms of innovation, economic development and international prestige.
