Sun and African heat: the month of June ends with a brief heat wave in the Centre-South (the third of the summer) destined to continue in the South and Sicily until Monday. Here, between this Sunday and Monday, the peak of the African blaze is expectedespecially in Sicily where temperatures could reach 40 degreesthe. In the Center the hottest areas will be Abruzzo and Molise where, until the beginning of the week, temperatures may exceed 35°C. In the North and in Tuscany, the oppressive heat and sultriness eased after the passage of disturbance n.10, the last of the month: a storm front that mainly affected Val d’Aosta and western Piedmont.
Variable weather will follow this Sunday with instability expected to be limited to mountainous areas. Finally, for the beginning of July, a summer break is also looming in the Centre-South, thanks to the passage of the first two disturbances of the month: n.1 between Monday and Tuesday, n.2 between Tuesday evening and Thursdayaccompanied by rain, showers, thunderstorms and a significant drop in temperatures (even 10-12 degrees in the South and in Sicily), thanks to the entry of cooler and more intense north-westerly winds.

Variable weather during the day in the North, with larger and longer-lasting sunny spaces in the central-eastern Po Valley and the Adriatic coasts; in the afternoon some brief showers or isolated storm in the Alpine and pre-Alpine sectors, while a worsening is expected in much of the North during the night. In the rest of the country there is still sunshine and very warm weather, except for some low clouds in north-western Tuscany.

Possible showers or thunderstorms. In the Center it worsens in the second part of the day, with showers or thunderstorms more likely in the evening and night. In the South and on the Islands, sunny weather, except for the passage of harmless clouds, which are more extensive and dense over Sardinia.
Temperature maximum temperatures slightly increasing further in the South and Sicily, where they could exceed 40 degrees. Values up to 34-37 degrees on the central Adriatic, not above 28-29 degrees in the North. Moderate winds between Sardinia and Sicily, gusts in thunderstorms.
