The night just passed was one of intense work for the personnel of the Road Management 1 of the Metropolitan City of Turin, who intervened in the Orco and Soana Valleys, in the Lanzo Valleys and in other areas, including the Canavese plain, to deal with the emergency created by the heavy rainfall yesterday evening. In Valle Orco work is underway to free the Provincial 460 from the landslide near Fornolosa di Locana and ensure transitability in the section between Fey and Fornolosa as soon as possible. Already yesterday evening a local contractor company intervened to limit the damage. This morning other vehicles from contracting companies, personnel from the Traffic Management 1 and the Fire Brigade are working to remove the material present on the road. Work is underway to allow transit for emergency vehicles, residents and tourists who were stranded in the upper valley by the end of the morning. TO The bridge along the SP 460, closed as a precaution last night, is once again passable in Noasca.
On the Provincial Road 47 of Val Soana in Ingria the material that fell onto the roadway following a landslide was removed thanks to means made available by the Municipality and a contractor company of the Metropolitan City. The transit is permitted with caution and we are proceeding with the road surface cleaning.
In the Val Grande di Lanzo, on Provincial Road 33 in Chialamberto at the moment it is the bridge over the Vassola stream was closed as a precaution, with a detour onto a municipal road. Technical assessments are underway to verify any undermining of the riverbed cliffs near the bridge.
