The adventure ends already in the groups Gianluca Lapadula and its Peru in America CupIt would have taken a feat for the Bicolor, to beat Argentina and hope for a positive result in Chile-Canada, but the defeat against the Albiceleste definitively sanctioned the elimination of the national team of the number 9 of Cagliari.
The match played at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami was decided by Lautaro Martinez’s brace, with Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes also missing a penalty between the two goals from the Inter attacker. Lapadula did not start the match from the first minute, only coming on in the second half in the 56th minute with the result 1-0 for the opponents: the Italian-Peruvian striker tried to liven up Peru’s attack, which managed to become dangerous especially with a header ended up on the post by Zanelatto with Lapadula unable to return the ball into the net which took on a strange effect after hitting the upright, ending up directly outside. Peru was therefore eliminated, with Argentina and surprisingly Canada (0-0 against Chile) celebrating the passage to the next round.
